WASHINGTON – Yesterday, Rep. Paul Cook (R-Apple Valley) voted in support of H.Res 441. This resolution set America’s military priorities for next year to ensure our armed forces have the authorizations needed to keep us safe. This bill passed with overwhelming bipartisan support by a vote of 350-69.
WASHINGTON – Rep. Paul Cook (R-Apple Valley) welcomed the announcement this week of a deal on the Johnson Valley Off-Highway Vehicle Area as part of the National Defense Authorization Act of 2013 (NDAA). This language, which was made public last night, would preserve approximately 100,000 acres of Johnson Valley as the Johnson Valley Off-Highway Vehicle Area.

Congressman Cook Participates in Hearing on Iran
Earlier today, Congressman Cook participated in a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on the Administration’s nuclear deal with Iran. Secretary of State John Kerry testified before the committee and took members’ questions.
WASHINGTON – Rep. Paul Cook (R-Yucca Valley) today voted for H.R. 3350, the Keep Your Health Care Act of 2013. The act, which passed by a vote of 261-157, allows providers to continue to offer health insurance plans next year that were in effect in the individual market as of January 1, 2013.
