Rep. Paul Cook Supports Proposed Funding for Twentynine Palms Wastewater Treatment Plant

Feb 24, 2020
Press Release

WASHINGTON – Last week, the Trump administration presented the proposed federal budget for the next year, which includes $76 million for a wastewater treatment facility for the Twentynine Palms Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center.

Rep. Cook said, “I’m pleased to see the President recognize the significant need for this facility. The wastewater treatment plant would not only serve the Marine Base and its mission, but possibly the City of Twentynine Palms in the future. I’m proud to advocate for this critical facility and I’ll fight to see this funding approved.”

A member of the House Natural Resources and Armed Services Committees, Congressman Cook served as an infantry officer and retired after 26 years as a Colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps. During his time in combat, he was awarded the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts.
